* RJA didn't get the result of the Harris v ATB final qualifying match wrong above - or at least, it was wrong but it wasn't RJA's fault! It looks like it was one of those matches where a mistake is made on match point so the match looks like it is over on ITF livescores but it actually carries on and they can't undo the mistake during the match if it ended a set.

He must be so happy, the only thing most people win in Nottingham is a gun fight.

Hutt won in 3 sets

Allan took the first set against Bennett.

And I see that the village idiot has returned to the forum.

Been on MTF for the last 2 years, but I was banned for admitting drug use since 2009, so they have also taken away all my member posts for that period. So left no option but come back here.

Great news. The doubles draw is out and some guy called Fitzpatrick is playing.

Yes great idea.  I see British Tennis net's number 1 UKIP voter Johnny Lad is still going strong, oh dear.

He tweeted: "For results back from doctor. I have has / still got glandular Feaver. First tournament back tomorrow at Nottingham. Have to monitor it"
(presumably James appears more often in his texts than illnesses like this do ... but enough of that!)
So not good, but at least he knows what it is and is getting some medical advice (not that, in my experience, the average doctor is much good with this kind of advice, but at least he's got someone to consult about it what he should try and what he shouldn't) and the fact he's considering playing at all, must mean the labyrinthisis has been affecting him a bit less, which has to be a good thing.
I wished him luck and he said "thanks I have no money coming in so with everything I have to try. Felt good practising today. Have to see what happens" which is a horrible catch=22 situation to be in, but at least he feels ok enough to give it a go. I really wish him all the best with it.

28 Brits in the main draw with 3 guaranteed semi-finalists before a (main draw) ball is hit!

I'm pretty sure that's a record for a GB Futures, at least for the last decade or so, but it is only the equal 3rd most home-dominated Futures event this week, with 28 Italians in Italy, 29 Russians in Russia and 31 Brazilians in Brazil, where the qualies were an all-Brazilian affair as well.

I'll post the full details here shortly.
