Tiebreak - Sam led 5-1 and 6-2, so at least 4 match points ... the first 3 have gone though 6-5* ... but she does it!

My (fake) guess is that she was just trying to show her doubles partner that it's quite possible to fit a gut-churning rollercoaster into 2 sets, since Sam always seems to drag out the agony over 3! wink

Sawayanagi has just won, so Sam will play her in R2, having thrashed her 1 & 1 in the QFs last week

Strangely, there are still no scores for JoKo's match even though she was due on court immediately after Jade.
