I could have got my stats wrong again, but I think I'm right in saying that when the points for this tournament are added Sam will break into the top 200 for the first time.
Approx. 203, but a final place may just be enough to get there.
It seems 150-250 rankings have a lot of large points gaps between places.

Gah! Really? I'll have to leave stats to the experts! I have Sam as being on 284, which granted wouldn't currently be good enough for the top 200, but some of the players above her such as Cohen, Kania and Solovieva have some big counters expiring either this Monday or next. So I guess that means it depends on how well people around the 200 mark perform in the big tournaments this week? Is it only 25K and 10Ks that get added on a week later?
Two 25K Finals in 2 weeks for Samantha - when she's on form, she's really on form - plus Canada is always good for points - slightly weaker fields than in Europe and the US without having to go to the back of beyond, so I was happy to see them all head out here.
Sam now has 294 points as at 5 Aug - in the current rankings that would make her between WR 200-201, so it might be enough to crack the top 200, but it's touch and go.

I wonder when the last womens 25K or higher event featured two Brits?
Assuming you mean "25K or higher singles final" - it was Shrewsbury 75K in 2009 - the time Bally beat Katie in the Final and both broke into the top 100 the following Monday
JoKo beat Laura in the Woking 25K Final in 2011, but was playing for Australia at the time.
Lovely to see them both make it through and Brits hoovering up 106 WTA singles points here!
