I didn't think the Watts girls were going to play doubles. Good chance for Drew and Hughes.

So good to see Joss back playing doubles hopefully maybe singles at a later date.

Saw The Watts playing doubles in Glasgow last year lets put this way they were totally outclassed and out of their depth

The Watts girls played doubles last week at Woking.

They lost in the first round against Lucy and Pirazhenka (6-3 6-1)

I fear it might well be - after all, they are all ranked more than 500 places below their opponents except Lucy (who is 'only' ranked 200 places below hers), though there's a always an outside chance of an upset or two if any of the Brits are on top form and ther opponents have an off-day.

It was only a reference as their father suggested they weren't going to enter and were playing county week instead.

The ITF site are reporting Katy's loss as 1 & 1 .......... but I think they have that wrong (again no)

Have I mis-interpreted livescores....did Ms de Vroome (who is a talent, by all accounts) hit 14 DFs in a set of 6 service games (no TB)?

Blimey!

Jessica has hit 8 so no wonder there are so many breaks of serve.

and when the serve actually goes over the other player is probably caught completely by surprise - what ? a ball actually in the service box to return ? now there's a novel idea . . .

Lucy won in three sets - with another third set TB !

After the three TB yesterday, that girl must have stamina (or be about fit to drop by now)

Great victory though against the world's number 503

She plays Jaksic next -a big ask . . .

Brilliant effort by Brigit - to lose in a third set TB against the WR 181 - she should be very proud (and so should the US coach)
