It's great to have the W, but from reading the description and progress (thanks guys!) I get the impression that there were some dangerous lapses of concentration. To go 0-4 down having just one a 1st set tie break isn't good, and then surrendering the break in the third.....I was going to look at the serving stats, but the Lexington tournament has disappeared from the ATP Live score page, not sure what is going on. Maybe Ito always breaks serve that often, given that is own serve is weak.
I'll try to watch the stream tonight, would be nice to see him collect a load of points - Good luck Dino!

I see this as a positive rather than a negative. We all know that when Wardy is "on", he is capable of playing top 100 tennis. However, when his game is not quite there, he will often have a chance to win but lose his nerve at the vital moment.
The fact that this was a fight to the end, and probably as much a mental battle as a tennis one, makes this al the more impressive to me. These are exactly the matches he needs to win when he is not at his best all the way through.
Peliwo has been on really good form in this tournament and seems to really enjoy trading from the baseline and making a lot of balls. As ever though if Wardy serves his best and his groundies are on then he should have a great chance.
Though I've always thought talk of Wardy's mental fragility is overdone - to me his mental strength seems about average for a regular Challenger player (obviously if you compare it with the top 10, he's bound to come out looking bad, but that would be unfair)
