Confirmed that Jamie and John did indeed get a walkover. SF is tomorrow.

Quick quiz (fairly easy for people here, I think, but we'll see): Roger Federer is now to Daniel Brands as Daniel Brands is to <...>? (insert name of British tennis player & say why)

ISTR that Brands lost to Oli Golding at Eastborne qualies last year. Nothing else springs to mind.

SF:  (3) Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) CR 118 defeated Facundo Bagnis (ARG) & Jamie Delgado CR 183 by 1 & 4  smile cry

*****

I had thought the boys' opponents in the final would be Mergea & Rosol (CR 172), whom I considered dangerous, but instead it's the much lower-ranked Spaniards, who beat M & R by 1-6 6-3 [10-4] & should probably now be considered dark horses:

Final:  (3) Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) CR 118 vs Pablo Andújar & Guillermo García López (ESP/ESP) CR 623

Decent week for Jamie D and hopefully will be a very good week for Jamie M. Andujar and Garcia Lopez are both decent players but you would hope that Jamie and John's doubles pedigree would see them through.

The doubles final should be on fairly soon (Singles final just finished). Here is hoping for the first British of the day.
