More pressure on Lloyd's serve here but he holds for 5-3*

Bjerke holds comfortably so Lloyd will serve for the set at *5-4

Love it. No fanfare, no hype, no spin. Just a solid straight sets win to get to a maiden ITF $10k SF from a player doing things HIS way, outisde the GB system. Wishing him all the best for the days to come.

If he wins the thing, for goodness sake, don't tell Draper! He'd be all over it in a flash, respositioning the whole back story!

I'm beginning to like the University of Texas wink (that's where Ed Corrie went too, isn't it?)

Just to add his next opponent's ranking:

SF: (Q) Lloyd Glasspool WR 1737 v (4) Colin van Beem (NED) WR 663

The Dutchman was the Denmark F1 runner-up in Kolding last week.

Yes, I believe he was, but decided quite late to try to make it on tour without going to uni instead.

Given that Soto were probably advising him and that they seem very pro the uni route, presumably that must mean they are very convinced that he has got what it takes

Bugger!  I could've sworn I put that in.  I certainly looked it up!
