This is actually Tretyak's first ever 10K, so upsetting the top seed would be a big deal! However, Morgina has broken back, so that match could have a fair bit longer to go.
I see too that Morgina has won 11 matches in a row (winning the last two 10Ks here) yet she has been bagelled twice during that run before winning in 3 ... and her last 12 tournaments (including this one) have all been in Sharm el Sheikh!

Danielle is already certain to rise over 100 places over the next two Mondays to a new career high in the low 800s.
It could be even higher as Tretyak is serving for the match against the top seed.
Tretyak is a 15yr old Russian who came through qualifying and has a very average junior record, so if she wins Danni has a great chance to progress further.
CD - I suspect it's more to do with confidence from last week and a very weak field. No 1 seed was only ranked at 700. Danni is the seventh seed and she has generally beaten lower ranked players this year. Although the positive GB girls results around the world will help. Mikheeva is the fourth seed, but is only ranked 781 and Danni won't be too far off that soon. Kordolaimi is ranked 892 so fairly evenly ranked.
