Week 29 - Challenger ($50,000) - Binghamton, NY, USA (Hard)

L32: Alex Bogdanovic WR 267 v Stephane Bohli (SUI) WR 380

Nice draw for Boggo and the next round is pretty good as well, either sixth seed Alex Kuznetsov or Christian Harrison. Boggo has 18 points to come off on Monday, 25 the following week and 27 the week after. He really needs to find some form.

7 of those 25 points due to come off on Monday week were from reaching R2 here last year, when Alex upset 3rd seed van der Merwe in R1. The other 18 and the 18 due off this coming Monday were from back to back Futures titles.

Boggo and Bohli have similar career highs (Bohli CH 113 in 2010) but the Swiss player has been a bad match up for Alex in the past - they met three times in 2008/9 and Bohli won all three in straight sets.

Glad I didn't watch this match until now. Boggo has just held serve for the 1st time, at the 6th attempt. 2-6 1-3*

Alex down 0-4*, one of the worst displays i've seen from him so far, looks lethargic.

Neither player playing at all well when I flicked on streaming at 0-4. Very poor serving. Games all being lost on UEs with very few winners.

Might stay until end of the set, unless standard improves.

5 breaks in a row, Boggo broken and loses the set 6-2. Not the greatest standard from either player. Groggy match thus far.

Indeed. Alex has lost all 5 of his service games so far, winning just 2 of 16 FIRST serves in!!!!!!!!!! Awful.

Boggo putting another poor performance in. So many unforced errors, it's difficult to watch.

A terrible result in more ways than one.

He ended up winning just 3 out 20 points when he got his 1st serve in. Utterly bizarre, given that 1st serve % (54%), 2nd serve points won (53%) & return points won (36%) were not great but not particularly out of line from what you would normally see.

I assumed he meant a combination of scoreline, performance and in terms of the number of points he has coming off this month
