Tara won 5 and 0.

Clearly a class apart, but for the second day in succession Tara was down breaks in the first set against an inferior opponent before turning the set around and then running away with it in the second. Jessica served for set 1 today.

Against better players Tara would lose the first set. She has to come out fit, ready and all guns blazing....especially for these morning matches which seem to be a constant issue [same thing happened in the US as well].

Anyway, well done, and showing tremendous consistency now.

Tara comfortably closes out the match 7-4, 6-0. Jessica should be very pleased, however.

But Lisa suddenly gets broken twice (or three times) and it's now one set all !!!!

Lisa got broken at 3-3 in the final set - and then rattled off three games to win 6-4.

Hard going but well done!

Manisha and katie both lost their first sets 6-2 but not over . . .

Both Katie and Manisha refusing to roll over and die - the scores look quite comfortable for the opponents but both players have had one game with tons of BP which they just failed to take which could have made all the difference . . .

I get the impression from this week and previous results that Manisha fights all the way to the end and never gives up. Some others need to take note of this attitude.

Manisha had lots of points to hold serve and get it back to 5-4 but eventually got broken by the second seed and lost 6-2 6-3.

She should be very pleased, though - great week.

Good win and a GB finalist. The girls in the top 350 are doing well at the moment, the girls at the bottom of the rankings are doing well at the moment. Just need the girls in the middle of the rankings to step up now......
