From 4-1 down, Lisa storms through the rest of the set to take it 6-4. Go girl!

Tara now 5-4 up but with irena to serve.

Go girl indeed! I would not have predicted that after the first couple of games. Clearly Lisa was finding her range.

Tara nearly recovered the tie-break from 3-6* but eventually lost it 6-8.

Both matches going against the rankings so far.

Good to see Tara recover the momentum by breaking straight away in set two.

And even better to see that Lisa broke to secure the win!

Beating the WR 159 . . . is that her best scalp ?

Lisa's career best win is over WR 128 Claire Feuerstein, but as that was on the Nottingham grass (and a lot of the British players get their career wins on grass against opponents unfamiliar with the surface) and this is on a hard court it has to rank right up there.

Her best scalp was Feuerstein then WR 128, at Nottingham last year. A really excellent win though and she won 11 of the last 13 games from a double break down in the 1st set! biggrin

Tara seemingly started well and built an early lead. It then all went a bit pear shaped and she lost a succession of games before forcing a tie-break. Based on the scoreline (and no first hand account) it seems more like she went walk about or Pavlovic started playing better.

Tara is now just one game away smile
