Boys: AEGON Junior International Edinburgh - Grade 5 (Week 28)

Anyone who saw Joshua Sapwell's Wimbledon interview will have picked up that his schedule for the next few weeks starts here, and he is top seed followed by Lewis Roskilly, Ben Stride and Jay Clarke. Under 14 star Max Stewart is a possible second round opponent for Josh.

With the first round completed Max and Josh do face-off on Centre tomorrow. Fifth seed Christopher Morrow was the only one to lose - to qualifier Jack MacFarlane

Final is underway before an eerily empty centre court (seating for over 1,000) and streamed at http://client.scalablestreaming.com/tennis/live/light/i  (email address required to access)

Josh (white top) leads 4-1*

Surprised that seemingly no tennis clubs have organised a day out for their juniors to go and see it - seating is free, I imagine ? 1,000 is a BIG number but you'd have thought there'd be school kids and, as I say, all the local tennis clubs with their young members.

Peter Bothwell is one of the Sotoacademy players - lots of good luck messages to him on their site, but you'd expect Josh to be too strong . . .

It is possible that a club did organise a trip. Bizarrely they scheduled both singles finals at the same time, with the only Scot on another court - so there may have been more watching Millie's match. I counted 6 or 7 people in the half stadium which was visible. Perhaps there were some school parties during the week.

The associated text chat with the stream had a number of comments, all from Peter's angle. Josh was indeed far too strong in the end, winning his second title of the year.
