Excellent run of results by Naomi - she's playing well in the singles too.

And that's a couple of very useful LTA top-up checks !!!

(The doubles top-up checks only apply to 50K+ events and only for winners and runners-up).

Abaza playing well . . . Naomi's first serve deserted her and she got broken . . .

 

 . . . and break back . . . . and then get broken again  . . . for someone as tall and rangy as Naomi, you'd think she'd intercept at the volley a bit more - she's the only one out of the four who doesn't . .. but I know that it's easy when you're sitting in the armchair . . .

I have noticed that Noami does not seem to have great faith in her volleying ability..................and to be honest I have seen her put quite a few volley's in the net over the course of the last couple of weeks...but as you say easy when you are sitting in an armchair...

Lost a close, but not terribly distinguished, first set, 5-7
Were 0-3 down in the second but then rattled off 6 straight games to take the set 6-3 and force the MTB

Shame for Naomi but great run nonetheless and Abaza/Will are a very strong pairing. Abaza's grunting needs to stop though.
