JWH has taken the 1st set against top seed Josh 7-5 - JG has only lost 1 set in Ilkley in each of the last 3 years - could his 16-match winning streak on Ilkley grass be at risk or will this turn out to be just this year's lost set? Well, JWH is now *5-4 up and serving for the match ...

By winning today O'Mara will go above Norrie in the rankings. With Baker having retired Jonny has a claim on the title of "Scotland's second best tennis player"

However, Mark is now shamelessly claiming Jonny for Yorkshire (the Aussies know how he feels, having lost Laura at a similar age!)
huntley93: Unfortunately Activeboard won't allow me the extra characters to make it clear in my signature that the 'years of hurt' have always referred to Davis Cup! (not that making it clear on Twitter every stopped people saying much the same as you just have!)
Though even referring to Wimbledon it would make sense at the moment - after all, those 77 years didn't stop us dreaming, did they

There are big 'Brit points' to play for in the top half of the draw - Tom and Josh being an interesting contrast in styles and Marcus and Jonny having had such a close match last time (although Jonny may be a bit weary after today's effort).
The New-Zealander had an easy match today so Dan Cox will have to be fresh out the blocks. I'd have thought Benneteau would be a bit too strong for Richard but you never know, Antoine didn;t have it all his own way against Ben and Richard made very light work of his UNR opponent.
