I like the greater ambition of the GB guys at the moment good to see challengers and main tour being attempted more again recently. shows them where they really need to get to and no pretense good on Alex
It could be argued that in some ways, what Alex is doing could be even more inspirational to some of the British men who do well in Futures but hardly ever go for Challenger & ATP qualifying overseas, because this isn't someone superhuman (as Muzz must seem to most of them sometimes) but someone like them (i.e. broadly similar ability) who is showing what can be achieved when you take a calculated risk and keep at it.
I can't remember a recent run of success in Challenger / ATP qualies as sustained as this from a British player outside the top 300. Of course, he has had some decent draws (perhaps if he had had dire draws in the first couple of weeks and lost in straights in QR1 each time, this adventure might have come to an early end), but he certainly hasn't had easy draws and has had to take plenty of higher-ranked scalps in the last few weeks to achieve what he has.

It looks like there will be a live stream for Alex's match - bet365 is likely to be the best bet (no pun intended for once!) if you are registered, otherwise you can take your chances with the links on streamhunter.eu

I must admit, I feared a thrashing today (which wouldn't have been a disgrace even if it had happened) but he looks pretty at home out there - shows what playing at a higher level and persevering with it can do for you!
