What Fitzy did next ...

http://bbc.in/18uFQEo "6-love-6 02 Jul" Sloane & John Inverdale talking about Fitzy from 30:11-30:37

A very short clip but she's very nice about him and her reaction when Inverdale asks if she knows he put himself up for sale on Ebay biggrin ... I mean, who wouldn't want to be described as "sooo scaandalous" by a voice like that. wink

A pity she went out yesterday, a Sabine v Sloane final would have been perfect.

RE: Sloane Stephens talks about ... Fitzy

Haha. I've seen Fitzy showing off pictures with Federer as well. What is he - the official Wimbledon hitting partner?

Fitzy retweeted a link to an article he has done in the Sporting Life:

http://www.sportinglife.com/tennis/news/article/553/8804863/my-part-in-federers-downfall (nice title LOL)

Wishing him good luck with the tests, I hope it doesn't turn out to be something that will keep him out for too long.

He did a couple of earlier ones too in case you missed them:

Sounds like glandular unfortunately...I managed to get better after 3 weeks after a bout recently, although I was sleeping all day rather smashing balls at Federer!

I like Andy's writing and agree with most of what he says but I did laugh out loud at the suggestion Barry Cowan should be involved in running the game.

Why?  I know he was only a so-so player ranking wise but he was also regarded as someone who maxed out his skills.  I have no idea what he's like as a coach or "expert" though but, the suggestion of him dosen't make me laugh out loud?????

"Andrew Fitzpatrick is currently the world number 570, a ranking which makes him the British number 22."

That is a very nice stat to read. I remember when he may even of been in the british top 10 with that ranking :)

"Labyrinthitis", I think, Fitzy. Jeepers!  You poor man! cry  Hope it doesn't take you too long to shake it off!

I'd never heard of that so had to look up it - sounds really horrible, an ear infection that throws your balance off, hence the nausea, etc. Sounds like there's no cure for the infection itself but there are things you can do to minimise the length of time it takes to be able to function again. Hopefully your doctor has got that covered though. In the meantime, much sympathy - I hope you start feeling a bit better soon.

Damn Fitzy - and I though I was having a rough time over here. Sort of puts my little problems into perspective.

Hang in there. Life will get better and your mental strength will help you find a way to get through this.

Get well soon. We need you back on court, playing tennis - but more than that, we need you healthy.

I had to look in up too. Crikey Fitzy, if it wasn't for BAD luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all.

Fitzy, I reckon that, if the good wishes of every member of this board counted for anything, you'd be over it in a week!  Chin up.  We're all rooting for you, mate. Dueling Fencing Smiley Smilie Emoticon Animation Animated Animations Gif photo fencing.gif

hi fitzy. just read yr piece on labrynthitus. very recently suffered with this so i ope i can help with this, its right that there isnt any cure for this, but a drug called bucasem helps if you take it straight a way wen you feel a turn comin on. it stops the room spinnin and sickness but u still feel rough, i had an attack once a week for two months each lasting 4/5 hours. luckilly my attacks were on an evening so i didnt miss any work. wat i did try every day was slicing some lemons up an boiling up ten mins in water and then added manuka honey, i drank this every day 4 times  a day, i am not sayin this is a cure but i avant had an attack since touch wood. i ave every sympathy for you m8

Lovely article (+ picture) about the two of them & Fitzy's contribution to Sloane's USO preparations by OEM in today's Times - for anyone who's prepared to buy the print edition or stump up a quid to get past the paywall! wink  He's very complimentary about the lad's attitude & sympathetic to his plight when he's not with the Stephens camp.
