RedArrow's etymology of 'coop-rider' sounds convincing. But what about if we're mis-reading it and it should be coo-prider ? Proud of his coos ? (More pigeon fancying, of course). 

Or, indeed, co-op-rider - as opposed to a tesco-rider ?

Not to be.  The final was clearly a match too far:

Final:  (4) Alexander Igoshin & Vitaliy Kachanovskiy (RUS/RUS) WR 1336 defeated Chris Cooprider (USA) & David Porter UNR by 4 & 2 cry

Still, a great week for them - & ranking points, if I'm not mistaken. smile

Too funny!   I never thought of that!     Thanks for the updates.  It's difficult to stay awake at 2am - 5 am.     BTW, I am NOT a fan of this next draw.
