*3-2 second set. Oli just dropped his serve for the second time.
Slightly surprising as Mr Almeida has never made it out of qualifying before, and this is only his 5th ever ITF pro event. His career high junior ITF ranking was 781.
Assumed this would be a bagel/breadstick type affair, but there we go!
VERY long pause between games, so perhaps Oli is injured or ill.....which might explain why this has all been so much tougher than it ought to be.

Well, I agree Korri, that he seemed to make heavy weather of it but the final score is pleasing enough (Oli wins 6-4, 6-2) so onwards and upwards Oliver . . . .
Very good points available this week, with a very average looking $10k level field.
4 points for a QF, 10 for a SF, 20 for a F and 35 for a W.
From CD's perspectives on his first 2 round opponents, should be 4 points for just turning up, with a very nice reward for playing well when it matters later this week.
I'd be more confident if he's beaten Robin really easily (of the three Frenchmen, Robin is the weakest by a fair margin) but Oli still SHOULD find the next round pretty easy sailing (assuming no injuries or whatever). Hadn't realised the points were so generous. Thanks. Good choice of competition.
