I know I got a load of stick last time I criticised one of Ollie's tweets but once again I find this appallingly unprofessional. Perhaps I have got this wrong but I always assume players at futures level actually have aspirations of making a career out of tennis. If that is the case then it is beyond pathetic to tell the world, including your opponent, that you "realistically can't win" your next match.

totally agree signs of immaturity advising your opponent of your misfortune. Could say more i am not a Golding fan at all sorry!

Bit of an over the top reaction. His opponent isn't really going to get an advantage from knowing about the injury if it really is that severe. I mean what can he do differently, aim for the injured hand? Hit more drop shots? If Oli can barely hold his racquet then I seriously doubt his opponent's knowledge of his injury is going to be the deciding factor!
Besides, many players drop their intensity against injured players...this could be all be a cunning ruse by Oli in the end

It's not so much the letting your opponent know that you are injured, although I don't think that is smart it's saying that you "realistically can't win". What kind of attitude is that to take onto court?
