Kyle comes across as very thoughtful and sensible in his interview (no big surprise there, obviously!) and James seems to give a pretty realistic assessment too, plus some info about where he is likely to play over the summer.
Ward has to be he worst front runner ever. Very frusrating bcause he earned so my break point chances but just seemed unable to take any of them. Maybe that i the difference between being Top 100 and not.
I feel so sorry for James. This match was nothing like the one at Queens, far closer, really tight. But James deserved the third set and, after the heartache of Queens, even the third set would have been a reward. I don't think he's even playing the doubles - he's going to feel so down.
Some fair comments here, but some seem rather unduly negative, given the disparity in the rankings and the extent to which Mr Ward pushed a good opponent. Finding someone to work with Mr Ward to help him get over the line seems like a good idea ... but in re: some comments, I have the feeling that Mr Ward is getting some of the treatment Mr Bogdanovic got. Wasn't helpful then, and isn't now.

I agree with you to an extent but on the other hand you cant keep bringing rankings into this because you might as well say dont bother showing up!!
It was a good match and good display from Ward but it was a shame that he couldn't get into the break point and set point opportunities more!
