Delighted for Mr Marray. I remember last year he said (taking it as a positive and without any trace of resentment) that a highly ranked tennis player had said to him, after his championship, "Well, I guess I'll be seeing you around for the next year." At the time, I was unhappy on his behalf; the implication (if the quote was reported correctly) seemed a bit that he was a flash in the pan who next year would drop his Wimbledon points and then go back to the lower levels where he belonged. But in fact, even if Mr Marray and Mr Fleming went out in the first round of Wimbledon, he'd still be well within the top 50, and so able to keep going at ATP level. Well done to him for making the best of his exceptional victory ... and ensuring that he can continue to play at a top level. Three cheers.
