I very nearly made that error when I typed out the qualifying draw. I initially put (NED) due to his name sounding Dutch. Fortunately for me I remembered that he was actually French before I posted it.
I remembered he wasn't Dutch ... so typed "BEL" on Twitter - then remembered properly just before I hit send LOL

No BPs conceded. Very good serving statistics. Very very impressive forehand. Great rally construction. Cool as a cucumber. No Oli-style hystrionics, albeit there was never a need. Heroic stuff.
Only 2 question marks.
1. His backhand was OK, but no more than OK. Quite a few UEs coming from it. Would be good to turn it into a weapon over time.
2. Monsieur de Schepper's overall performance was borderline criminal for a player well inside the top 100, with 3 CH tournament victories last year (according to the commentator, I haven't checked). He has a supersonic serve - but today his return of serve, groundstrokes, volleys, movement and point construction were an embarrassment (i.e. the tennis aspects of his game!!!)......"son" of Karlovic! Not Kyle's fault, of course, but I was staggered how a top professional couldn't hit more than 2 or 3 groundstrokes before breaking down.

If it's a lucky loser it could well be Michael Russell (if he's still around) as he's the highest ranked player to lose in the final round of qualies. Other possibility are Alund (a clay courter who De Schepper thrashed 1&1 - that would be a fantastic draw for Kyle), Stakhovsky or Dustov.
Depends who's still around.
Of course Simon's injury might not be as bad as first feared and he could well play anyway. That would be a great challenge for Kyle.
What happens if Simon pulls out and none of the guys who lost in the FQR are still around/accept it - would Kyle just get a walkover?

Re Simon, there also has to be chance that he will give it a try tomorrow (or will it be Weds?) and if it isn't right, pull out after a couple of games.

De Schepper is pretty awful, his serve carries him a lot, Edmund is clearly the better player here, looks composed and unphased by the occasion which is excellent
