RE: Week 25 - WTA Premier $690K - Eastbourne, UK - grass

Huber/Mirza served for the match at 5-6* but Hev & Co broke to send the second set in to a TB, like the first
6-7(4) 6-6

60 points, thank you very much, and at least 20 places jump in the rankings.

Kirilenko next for Elena.

Whoop!

Hev and Darija lose, but a very promising showing against such storied opposition as Huber & Mirza.

So Ms Baltacha and Ms Watson are back. Skies may be overcast, but the outlook is sunny.

Laura not looking very happy, but getting the job done.

Her serve seams 1000% better already from the last time I saw her play singles

Got rather better. 6-2 * 1-0

Such a pity her serve is so inconsistent generally, because it does look a great action when the first serve goes in.

I still think her movement doesn't look as good as it did latterly last year. Far too much stretchimg for balls most top players would be onto comfortably and not getting close to other balls that they would get a hit on.

Positively miserable when she walked out. Glad Hev and Bally won, not least cos it gets Laura to play better

Barely a smile even upon winning and it felt very fraught for the most part.
But, most importantly served well today all round, and played the big points very well.

Rematch against Caro next, be an interesting comparison.

In other news, the increasingly impressive Jamie Hampton just took the first set from Aga.
