In the past when just one losing semifinalist has been awarded a QWC it has either gone to the higher ranked player or the two have been asked to play-off. Usually on the occasions when all 4 semifinalists have picked up QWCs they cancelled the semifinals, so i don't think the omens look good for Harriet.
That's great. I think that's the right decision then - get the Wimbledon experience, deal with the expectations and try and perform really well, at her actual level, as opposed to trying and 'sneak' a big result. After all, she only won one match in the junior qualies in Paris (although came very close in the second one).

Harriet's only 16. And unranked. She's had a couple of really good matches recently but is still pretty much untested at this level. There'll be plenty of time for her - it might be too early for her now.
Also, no idea, is she in the Juniors at Wimbledon ?

Harriet is currently on the qualifying list, but will almost certainly be offered a wildcard for Junior Wimbledon.
I felt very sorry for Harriet too, but I'm pretty sure that when there has only been one wild card left in the past, it has gone to the higher-ranked of the two losing semi-finalists, in the same way as lucky loser places are decided for ATP & WTA events (though not for ITFs and slams), so it's more than likely that this is what they did here. Either that or maybe they drew for it. Either way, Harriet's immediate reaction (feeling doubly unlucky having lost such a close match then having just missed out on the extra WC) was understandable without anyone having to be at fault.
Having said that, it would have been interesting to see what they would have done had there been one wild card left for the men ...
