Jaggy - if you're ever hunting for info on ranking points again, the "How the WTA rankings work" link just about the rankings calculation section on the GB women's top 25 table links directly to the page on the WTA site with the ranking breakdowns for all types of tournaments.

I say try the T25 table because the last time I checked the WTA site for the link, it wasn't that easy to find there, and if I simply paste the WTA site link here, it'll be virtually impossible to find the next time you need it.

Cheers Steven I'm on the ball with ITF and Challenger stuff but I was using old links before. That's me now 100per cent up to

Odd that they have equal prize money everywhere except qualies

They seem to have sneaked Jade onto the QWC list too

Talking of which, spot the hugely appropriate typo in this local press article

Ah - I was looking at the totals - why do womens qualies have fewer player's than mens?

Pleased to see Mel come through, partly because I predicted that she would. In fact she wasn't even challenged.

That last playoff match looks like it was very long and desperately close!

FI 1: (1) Melanie South WR 523 beat Katy Dunne WR 947 by 0 & 2
FI 2: (3) Anna Smith WR 756 beat (wc) Harriet Dart UNR by 5-7 6-4 7-5

Katy got a QWC anyway ... which I think leaves one more, so will Harriet get it, Emily or neither ...

Penalising Emily for actually winning a match in Notts is a bit harsh

I wonder what they will do - if I remember right, when they have given out just one WC to a losing semi-finalist in the past, it has gone to the higher-ranked one (not the one who got closest or anything like that), so the fact that Katy got one doesn't really help when trying to guess.

I think if anyone gets it, it will probably be Emily, but to be brutally honest I would rather see Harriet get it so as to look to the future.
