Perhaps so they could see how Mr Edmund, Mr Rice and one or two others did? They may originally have thought that they would know by this afternoon, but the rain delays would have affected the timing.
Some wild cards appear to have been issued today. "It was an especially good day for the former World No.9 Petkovic, as she found out she was awarded a wildcard into Wimbledon. - See more at: http://www.wtatennis.com/news/article/3207527/title/cornet-wins-opener-in-nurnberg#sthash.Wnnch5hJ.dpuf"
NB The Konta/Keaothavong thing is off the scale of daft. And if Anne has such awful problems with her feet, on mega anti-inflams and limited court time - why, oh why, would she want to play singles AND doubles ??

Well, Sue Barker says that she and John Lloyd and Andrew Castle are 'confident' that Dan will get a MDWC.
But they don't seem aware that he's got a QWC.
They showed his match point - super drive volley. And supposedly he was right in the face of Jakko all match, with the Finn on the back foot. And the crowd were going wild. (Hint, LTA, hint).

The LTA do not award wildcard at Wimbledon, all wildcards are decided and awarded by the AELTC.
It is likely that the LTA nomination list that was given to the AELTC on Monday morning (pre-Queens' victory) would have had Dan as a QWC and AELTC have followed that when the wild card committee met yesterday. It is open to the AELTC at any time up to the start of qualies to upgrade that wildcard, and I am certain they will after today - although it may not be until next week that the update is official when the refresh the list with the additional recipients.
LTA can certainly 'lobby' the AELTC to do so, but at the end of the day it's not their call. I would be astounded if the AELTC didn't upgrade him and free up a further qualy wildcard however. So if you are starting a twitter campaign make sure you direct it at the right people
Keothavong/Konta, Sam/Jade, Mel/Tara and Nik/Lisa will have been the top 4 ranked British pairings on the doubles entry list decided on Monday who didn't make the draw. The criteria for nomination is top 500 combined ranking.

who cares what he has done/not done the guy is on top of his game and has more of a chance at the moment than any of the other guys bar andy of getting a win! LTA to worried about their reputation. If this incident is major then obviously you can see why... but i highly doubt it - all would be forgotton if he won a round at wimby! They have just tried to look good with the British media and trying to stamp their authority.... Dan is always going to be a bit unpredictable off court but thats Evo for you.... He has obviously worked hard on his game and attitude, whats one blip in the grand scheme of things!
Take football for example if someone steps out of line but is a strong first team player... they fine him but he still features as it give the team the best chance of winning... you can see where im going etc

And Dan Evans beats Jarkko Nieminen 10 minutes after it's announced he didn't get a Wimbledon WC, his second top 80 scalp of the week, following up a Challenger QF last week! Extraordinary.
I know there are 4 mens' WCs remaining, and I know he is bound to get one, but surely this was a massive own goal......even Neil Harman, who questioned his Queen's WC, is almost bound to complain about it after 2 excellent ATP level wins....
let's see.
And OF COURSE the crack doubles team of Konta and Keothavong gets a WC, although nothing for the Skupski brothers who can actualoly play doubles.
