Can't find a working stream but it is probably for the best.

Josh trails 1-5*

First set down the pan 6-1, after having broke in the first game.

Broken to love in the opening game of the second. Really disappointed with this. I didn't expect Josh to win this match but I didn't expect a rout.

I can't find a live feed but I feel that if josh doesn't get his first serve in then he has lost the point!

Gutted about Brydan. Been well on top in the first but looks like he's going to be robbed in the tiebreaker. Really want him to win this as a good chance for points this week.

R1 round-up:

L32: (WC) Dan Smethurst WR 373 lost to Ruben Bemelmans (BEL) WR 141 (CH 108 last Oct) by 7-6(3) 6-1 cry
L32: (WC) Josh Milton WR 369 lost to Yuichi Sugita (JPN) WR 136 (CH 116 last Nov) by 3 & 0 cry
L32: (WC) Richard Gabb WR 607 lost to Steve Johnson (USA) WR 120 (= CH) by 2 & 3 cry

L32: (WC) Dave Rice WR 501 beat Bradley Klahn (USA) WR 180 (= CH) by 6-4 3-6 7-6(11) biggrin
L32: (Q) George Coupland WR 1002 lost to Michael Berrer (GER) WR 154 (CH 42 in 2010) by 4 & 3 cry
L32: (Q) Brydan Klein WR 253 lost to Somdev Devvarman (IND) WR 140 (CH 62 in 2011) by 7-6(2) 6-4 cry
L32: (Q) Josh Ward-Hibbert 855 lost to Donald Young (USA) WR 157 (CH 38 in 2012) by 6-1 7-6(5) cry

L16: (WC) Dave Rice WR 501 v (8) Go Soeda (JPN) WR 129 (CH 47 last Jul)

Soeda ended a 2-month losing streak with a 3-set win against a qualifier today.

Dave will definitely be back in the top 500 now and is threatening his career high. Josh will be in the top 800 for the first time and George almost certainly in the top 900 for the first time when their qualifying points are added.

Going by the stream from court 4 (Beck v Zhyrmont) play should be resuming shortly.

Seems like we are back on. Let's hope it's not short and sweet for JWH

Not to be for JWH as Young takes out the tie break 7-5. Sounds like a good performance though, particularly in the 2nd set. I guess that nerves may have had somthing to do with the 1st set.

And Brydan has lost the 1st set on the tie break as well.
