Very, very disappointing. Hard to call that anything other a horrible, horrible choke.
High praise indeed! One of the most positive things you've said all year.
Okay, I will bite.
What else do you call it when someone is the better player for most of the match but fails to serve out all 3 sets and plays poorly in the second and third set tie breaks?
Oh and for the record I have a high opinion of James as a tennis player. I do find his playing style a little one dimensional but I think as a minimum he should be pushing close to the top 100 as he can clearly compete at this level. If I am disappointed it is because I thought he had a good shout of winning this match and the way it developed he certainly should have.

A bit less pressure for Kyle, not being on Centre, but we don't get to see him play

I am pretty disappointed to only see one British win today. Jamie obviously had a very tough match but I thought James had a decent chance and that Ed, while obviously being under dog, would be able to push Stakhovsky, which in fairness he did do.

Played well but we shouldn't read much into this result. In my view he was red hot favourite for this match.
agree- very happy that he won but after i read his opponent had never played a match on grass i went straight onto bet365... however, no matter how poor pella may have been, maybe it will give him a bit of a boost in confidence + can't see him not getting a wimbe wc after this
Just got back from a really tough "training" session (4 mile gentle stroll along the beach) to find this excellent news about Evo.
Fabulous win. Well played. And Harrison again in R2 would be a great opportunity to progress further although he has the small matter of getting passed Nieminen first.
Just realised Baker's match is at the tail end of the 1st set. 5 all, glad to see Jamie holding his own! Would love to see him pull off an upset here... although I can't see that happening!
