Injuries and shoddy treatment Davis cup wise have kept Jamie out of the top 250. And although his form in challengers wasn't the best he was often getting drawn against top seeds.

He's just taken the first set against Amritraj: 6-3.
Boggo 6-2 *1-2 (just recovered an early break) against Melo.
Cameron Norrie has just lost the first set against Bozo by 4-6.

Well if you want to look back at the Davis cup thread you will find that I was very vocal about how Jamie was treated. I did say that I thought he should be compensated for that treatment with a couple of wild cards this summer but I thought Nottingham and here were more likely than Wimbledon. Having missed out on these two maybe he will get one for Wimbledon. If he does however it would be pretty inconceivable for Evans not to get one as well.
A quite simply atrocious result for Alex. In the last 6 years Melo has played just 14 singles matches, winning only 3 of them (2 against unranked opponents) and hasn't played any singles matches for 2 years.

Indeed. Forget any sniff of a Wimbledon WC, even if that prospect was slim anyway.
