I am going to take a guess and say that SMC does what I do - namely look at the number of points and compare it to the current ATP ranking table. On that basis, Dan comes in at about 249.
However, the more sophisticated analyst will also have taken into account other players gaining points from below and of course, those from above losing points.
Sorry if there is a bit of "grandma egg sucking" going on here, but just wanted to place myself firmly in the "lazy" camp.
Okay, I'll let you off naming them, but it would seem that 185 points puts Dan at number 249 as of now. Kukushkin can overtake him if he wins Kosice. Mecir can overtake him if he reaches the final of Kosice. Teixeira can overtake with a SF in Blois. Daniel can overtake with another win in Prague as can Cervenak.
However, Cervenak is due to play the second seed, Teixeira the top seed and Kukushkin and Mecir are in the same half son can't both reach the final. Daniel has the best chance, but it would need 2 of these things to happen to push Dan outside of the top 250.
I use that table too, and it will show that Lojda who was ahead of Dan was defending points but just lost in R1 of Prague. Similarly, Daniel is defending 15 points so needs to go a round further to make a gain.

I am not going to run through a detailed analysis of every players ranking points but as you will discover on Monday you are wrong.
I use this site which is usually reliable except during weekends when they remove the following week's point too early.
It currently has Dan at WR 249 with 185 points, although there are a few players below who could still catch him.

Ah I see the problem. You are looking at a flawed table. It fails to take into account futures points from events that were played last week. Bellotti, Diez and Estevez all won futures events last week and will have 195, 189 and 187 points respectively as of next Monday.
