And I notice that Abbie served 15 double faults (worth pointing out because sometimes we think it's just our girls that can't get the serve in the box!).
Great win for Manisha and it won't be long before she gets an official ranking.(Next tournament where she picks up a point or if she can get 6pts here)
Bob - the WTA changed the system a few years ago (I think it might have been prompted by the awkwardness of Kim Clijsters being unranked when she won the 2009 US Open despite having picked up 310 points at her first two comeback events in Toronto and Cincinnati, though 310 points wouldn't have even put her in the top 100 anyway), so that's why either one more win this week, which would give her 10 points from 2 events, or in her next 10K, which would give her 9 from 3, would be enough.
Her QF opponent hasn't lost a game so far this week - 2-0 ret. in R1 and a double bagel in R2.

IF she wins this match, it will be one more win required to get an official ranking either here or at here next event. Judging by the people she has beaten, very capable of getting into the top 700 very quickly.
