Excellent play from Dan from the little I saw (final set).
Typically the points he lost were those where he was on the attack and just missed the lines, and the points he won were typically due to fine play. Not much from Harrison, who actually did quite well to keep it close in the final set (it would have been an unfair reflection on the match if he had broken Dan at 5-5 and then won, although that nearly happened - serving 3 DFs to get your opponent to 40 is not for the faint-hearted). Really enjoyable, and the better player on the day prevailed.
Actually he ought to be a favourite for his L16 match, whichever opponent, and from the QF onwards it gets much harder - but with Dan's talent anything is possible.
Ding-dong battle: 5-4* in the decider, with a number of deuces in that last game. I wonder which of them is going to crack first...
Incredibly, it's not Dan. He takes the match by 6-7(3) 6-0 7-6(5)!
It was pretty nerve-wracking, admittedly, watching the closing stages of the 3rd set, but once he has saved bp at 5-5, he never really looked like he was going to lose the tiebreak. Excellent win

Intrigued to see how Goodall does against Ram as even though I've never rated Goodall's returning he seems to play well against serve-volleyers. Really want him to turn his year around with a good stretch on his favorite surface as well
