That was my first thought when I saw the draw too!  Jamie Baker is in that section too, though Dave has been in better form than him recently despite the disparity in rankings.

Btw the edit in post 1 was just to get the title into the usual format.

Tough qualifying and no points/prize money unless you make it through. Will be lucky if we get more than 1 GB player through.

Ward vs Rice and the winner to face Bozoljac who is probably the best grass court player in the draw... ouch!!

1st Quarter will be Amritraj/Brown
2nd Quarter Ward/Bozoljac
3rd Quarter Difficult to look past Guccione
4th Quarter Groth/Burton are hard to beat on grass

The big question is... where is Willis after his perfect warm up to this event in Felixstowe this week

Good question. Pretty much everyone who you would have expected to be here is (or are playing elsewhere in futures or RG Juniors).

The only exceptions are Willis and Bloomfield, both of whom you would have thought would have jumped at the chance to play challenger qualifying on grass.

Looks like it was a last minute decision on Lloyd's part to play here. Last night he tweeted

Spontaneous drive to notts at 7pm has got me into challenger quails with a little push from @Evo151216 . #getupandgotypeofguy

Lloyd has won the 2nd set 6-4. Going for a career best ranking scalp of the day ... and even if he manages it, he'll still have no ranking points to show for it!
