Looking at young Jemma's career results to date, almost exclusively in an intriguing array of high profile qualifying draws in France, perhaps the decision to withdraw is not a bad one. No one wants half of their matches to be double bagels against, surely!

Last year, Jemma was granted a very high French administrative ranking, and lost all her matches.
This year the FFT have moved her down three notches on the ranking ladder (usually you can only drop one ranking per year but because hers is an administrative ranking, not one based off actual results, the rules are different).
Anyway, she has also lost her three matches. But, as you say, all matches have been in very high profile tournaments. Not at all tournaments that are appropriate to her ranking.
