RE: Week 23 - ITF $75k - Nottingham, UK - Grass

Great story, Josh. Smiles.

I don't have a twin but I've tried playing doubles with my Other Half and it wasn't far off that !

oh yes hope this is the return of Joss

yep- not sure we will see her so often on the singles court but definitely starting her comeback on the doubles tour this summer! She is undefeated in her comeback so far, with 4 out of 4 wins at aegon team tennis for DL raynes park and a comfortable win yesterday in the btour. her injury still gives her pain but has been assured it won't get any worse... so here's to a successful return for joss :) always thought she was up there as one of our very best talents!

Jo has started. Really good body language. Already up a break. 2-0

Went on serve from there until 5-4, and so JoKo served for the set.
She was at *0-40, but got it back to deuce. Doi took her 5th BP of the game though.
5-5*

Johanna breaks back to 30 though. Second chance to claim the first set then...
*6-5

Not to be, Doi scrambles and breaks. Johanna a bit wayward and unable to put away points in that game.
6-6 TB

Doi comfortably takes the breaker. 7-3 missed chance for Jo there
6-7(3)

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Paszek retired 0-2 down in the third and, unbelievably to me at least, Falconi beat Genie from a set down!

Johanna gets another break to take the second set 6-7 (3) 6-2
Good stuff.
If you had to pick a winner now, I think you'd go for Johanna who seems to have had the best of almost the entire match, and should probably be in the locker room already.

Go JoKo!

I agree, Blob.

Jo could have/should have won the first set, although Doi played well at key points. But Jo's looking good and won that second set quite easily.

Nicola Slater & Maria Sanchez beat EWS & Rodionova 6-3 7-5
50 more doubles points for Nicola, she's on a bit of a roll
Shame for Em.

Naomi & Anna have just started against Genie & Luksika.
