Nic lost 6-3 6-2 in the doubles

Bally should be up in about 30-40mins as the other game is into a final set

Voegele holds... The Swiss player saved the first couple of BPs, but it was a failed dropshot that cost Bally the 3rd. Bally still in the match though.

Horrible game from both players. SV completely inept to go 0-40 down, then Bally can't take advantage of 2nd serves, SV gains initiative in the rally and eventually wins the point.

I missed the first couple of games, but Bally looks like she is giving Voegele plenty to think about.

Bally is wearing culottes!
I don't remember having seen culottes on the tour before.

I know I'm supposed to be watching the quality and technical proficiency of the tennis, but, culottes!

I'm glad to see Bally sliding into balls and slicing her backhand... but she can leave out the dropshots as they both attempts so far have been messy (one into the net, the other sat up nicely for SV to hit).

Some netted balls from Bally brings up break point for SV, but some solid baseline shots from Bally allows her to bring it to deuce.
