On this form (9 matches in a row, all in straight sets, none needing a tiebreak), not really sure it matters who David faces in the final (obviously we'd all want Richard to be that man), he ought to be able to take care of either. With a good possibility of 2 $10k tournament wins in a row, David starts to look a very good candidate for a few singles WCs (at least into qualifying) for bigger events during the GB grass court season; and surely his doubles partnership ought to be looked upon more favourably too.
Pleased for him. I hope Richard gives the young Canadian more of a test that Jamie managed yesterday. Gabb has now reached a few $10k SFs, and is making slow and steady progress up the world rankings, so it would be pleasing to see yet another maiden finalist from our boys. Winning becomes a habit.
