I know it is a futures what I am trying to say is that I dont think he will progress to Challenger level or indeed break top 250 if he does then great I would be pleased for him as Richard seems a nice guy

Agree with Scottie that at the moment he has the ability to make top 500, but will need to improve dramatically to move up to the next level.

In the Doubles Gill and Strachan won 1 and 2, beating the Canadian 4th seeds.#

Gabb and Daniell got a walkover.

David won the first set 6-4 but the score seems to have been very close.

Sam Hutt lost the first set 6-3 but with 5 breaks of serve and lots of BP

 

Later: Both men now 3-0 up in second set
