Boys & Girls: 34 Internationale Spring Bowl 2013 Amstetten, Austria - Grade 2 (Week 20)

We have a quartet here for the second Austrian Grade 2. The three boys have all avoided seeds, but are likely to meet top 4 seeds in round 2. Anna Brogan could meet one of the few Aussie-Brit defectors in the other direction (Naiktha Bains) in round 2

Boys R1 (L32)

Viktor Kostin (GER) v Robbie Ridout (GBR)

Peter Ashley (GBR) v David Pichler (AUT)

(WC) Fabian Gruber (AUT) v Callum Poland-Smith (GBR)

Girls R1 (L32)

Anna Brogan (GBR) v (Q) Jana Jablonovska (SVK)

A disappointing day here. Although Anna misses out on the chance to play Naiktha (in fact both lost) they had better luck together in the doubles

David Pichler (AUT) d. Peter Ashley (GBR) 6-4 5-7 6-2
Callum Poland-Smith (GBR) d. (WC) Fabian Gruber (AUT) 7-5 6-7(5) 6-2

R2

Callum Poland-Smith (GBR) v (2) Takashi Saito (JPN)

Girls R1 (L32)

(Q) Jana Jablonovska (SVK) d. Anna Brogan (GBR) 6-3 6-2
