No back to back titles for Fran and Erin, as they lose this week in the SF: 3-6 4-6
In the other semi, Lucy and Laura are slugging it out, with their respective partners, in a very close match that's gone to a second set TB Laura/Anett 7-5 6-6

Lucy & Darya saved multiple Match points, Laura & Anett saved multiple set points, in a very long TB. There really should be a name for a race of very long duration - perhaps they could name it after the place where this one happened...
Eventually Laura and Anett squeaked home. Anett then helping Laura in to a final as she helped Jess Ren in to one two weeks ago. May we have the same result in that final, here as in Edinburgh.
SF: Laura DEIGMAN/Anett KONTAVEIT (GBR/EST) [1] defeated Lucy BROWN/Darya SHULZHANOK (GBR/BLR) 7-5 7-6(12) SF: Francesca STEPHENSON/Erin CLARK (GBR/USA) [2] lost to GJORCHESKA, Lina/VOGASARI, Despoina (MKD/GRE) [4] 3-6 4-6

So Lucy will shortly be entering the black hole in the womens' ranking table ( no Brit in top 500-750). Lets hope she quickly and safely navigates to the other side!!
A second match point, and Lucy takes it to break the Brasilian and head on in to the final
Lucy's excellent week continues then, taking down her second seed of the week. In the final she meets the young Estonian, who has been the clear class of the field this week.
A really, really good week from Lucy ... this will be her second 10K singles Final. Funnily enough, she lost the first one to an opponent whose surname also started with "Konta" (and indeed finished with it!), the then Aussie ... JoKo!
