So pleased for Dan lets hope he goes upwards and not standing still. Playing British Futures against players he knows does him no favours with his potential
Well I hope that this is Evo's last futures title. He is back inside the top 300 and presumably he will now play Nottingham Challenger, Queens, Eastbourne and Wimbledon where he has nothing to defend and hopefully can pick up some points. I think it would be a big mistake to then spend the summer playing British futures, even if he picks up a few tournament wins I don't think it helps him move in the right direction or helps him prepare for US Open qualifying, which most surely be a goal. He should head out to the States after Wimbledon and play some challengers, maybe even a couple of ATP qualifiers. Staying in the comfort zone should not be an option. It is time to push on, and quickly.
