RE: Training groups/Academies

Gosling tweeted their "packages" available to pro players today. Quite interesting

Yes, DWH, I can see why you might think that academies categorised as HPCs in an official LTA list might just happen to be HPCs !

Quite a reasonable spread really.

Gosling have had a great run (and I love their tweets).

TeamBath are obviously doing well too - with Sam Murray, Anna Smith, Richard Gabb, Toby Martin, Marcus Daniell and quite a lot more.

Wasn't sure exactly where to put this, but this seems like as good a place as any.

BBC Report from Team Bath head quarters on the trials and tribulations of young pros on the tour, along with discussions of financial constraints etc. Brief interviews with Scott Clayton and Sam Murray, along with a couple of the coaches.

May last year, Bob The Ball Boy posted a fairly comprehensive list of who trained where.  Is there an up-to-date version of that on the site somewhere, or is it a case of taking his list and then noting changes that members have subsequently posted in this thread

Team Bath current players: Sam Murray, Lisa Whybourn, Grace Dixon, Jess Simpson, Anna Smith, Rich Gabb, Marcus Daniell, Toby Martin, Scott Clayton
few younger ones including: Dan Little, Eden Richardson, Seff Hassan
joined by uni programme which includes Steph Cornish, Alex Walker, Tash Starling, John Thompson.
ex players Mel South and Jamie Feaver join the coaching staff
have undoubtably missed a few but hope that helps

Thanks BtBB.  Any idea about the non Bath players? Mainly interested in the women, although it looks like Bath have the majority of them.

NTC - Tara, JoKo, Lana Rush

Soto - Manisha Foster

Northwood - Harriet Dart, Katy Dunne, Beth Askew

Nottingham - Freya Christie, Ciere Mullins, Alannah Griffin

Dukes, Chiswick - Jasmine Asghar

Presumably Heather trains in Florida and Amanda Carreras in Spain.  What about, Katie Boulter, Naomi Broady, Anna Fitzpatrick, Eden Silva, Fran Stephenson, Lauren McMinn, Lucy Brown, Jade Windley?  Does Emily W-S actually have a training base or does she just spend 52 weeks on the road?

Boulter seems to be a mixture of NTC and Brighton- with Nige Sears
Heather- florida + NTC as her European base
Eden- last I heard she was at Redbridge but this might have changed
Carreras- Spain
Broady used to do a lot in France and also in Manchester before her brother moved to NTC but not 100% sure she still spends as much time in France
Jade Windley- used to be based in Brighton but has moved up north nearer to home but still with the same coach, Guy Galpin, think they work fairly privately
Emily W-S doesn't really have a base, no!!!
Lucy Brown I'm unsure, I know she does a bit of training near her home in Oxford, think there are a few younger boys there Alexis Canter etc who she plays with but unsure where else she plays her tennis
Anna Fitz- not sure at all... seeing as she is down as attending university in London I guess it would make sense she also trains in London, but I'm not sure how much uni she actually goes to so it probably doesn't play a big factor
Joss Rae- Nottingham plus spends chunks in the states to train at a university programme there (she doesn't do any studying)

Other than that I think the ones you mentioned are correct!

Lots of changes since the last set of posts - I might need some help filling in the gaps, but an awful lot more training at Gosling or Nottingham these day and quite a few of the girls seem to be training at Northwood now.
