I make that 12 wins, 2 losses today for the GB men. The wins inxluded some very notable scalps (Richard G, Miles B, Jack C all beating players ranked well above themselves). And the 2 losses included a retirement from Andy at 1 set all from, frankly, a winning position; and a 3 set loss from Alex S to a player ranked 250 places higher than him.
The GB women went 0-4, including some rather poor losses thrown in.
An extreme outcome, but directionally this is the way it has been for some time for our players ranked 250 downwards; but at least we do have a few top 250 women!

You called it earlier though Korriban, in the Greece thread - kudos to you. Only difference was swapping Slabba for Gabb, and of course those outside the Top 25 managed to keep the ball rolling as well.
Just love days like this. Pity I haven't got any work done.
Yes, I know what you mean! LOL I first came online at mid-day and there was a new GB win to report every time I'd tweeted the previous one or dealt with a phone call or whatever virtually continuously for the following two hours!

Wow - i've been busy today and only just had a quick look at scores at lunchtime and now and the men's results are really impressive.
I didn't expect Miles or Jack to get through their matches, so outstanding results.(Miles was going well last week until a knee problem) In fact Miles has done Tom a favour as he is in the same quarter and has removed a seed.
Judging on form i would expect all three to have good chances of progressing of making the quarter final and i'm hoping Tom can break his semi final duck.
I've just realised that Miles is trying to reach his first Futures singles QF at the age of 26, having played in 25 Futures doubles QFs over the last 6 years.

This is most unfair. Why do our guys have to play 2 first round matches
