NB as poor David has the rather dubious honour of recently being promoted to one of my new 'pet faves' (see previous post), without knowing anything about the man (!), does anyone know if he goes by David, Dave, Davy, Ricey (please no) ?
Pretty sure he prefers to be called Dave.
His twitter name is daverice2k7, which suggests the same thing (certainly that he doesn't object to be called Dave, anyway! )

QF: Dave Rice WR 691 beat Hugo di Feo (CAN) WR 1252 by 1 & 1 QF: (2) Josh Goodall WR 296 beat Tyler Hochwalt (USA) WR 811 by 6-1 1-6 6-3
SF: Dave Rice WR 691 v (8/JE) Filip Peliwo (CAN) WR 661 (CH 516 in Feb, won junior Wimb. & USO in 2012) SF: (2) Josh Goodall WR 296 v (Q) Alexios Halebian (USA) WR 1386 (CH 1044 & junior CH 24 both in 2012)
Having been the no. 1 seed in his first 11 Futures this year and failed to win any of them, it would be ironic if Josh managed to win the first Futures event this year the first time he hasn't been the top seed ... probably 2nd favourite behind Peliwo though, not sure.

SF: Dave Rice WR 691 beat (8/JE) Filip Peliwo (CAN) WR 661 (CH 516 in Feb, won junior Wimb. & USO in 2012) by 3 & 4 SF: (2) Josh Goodall WR 296 lost to (Q) Alexios Halebian (USA) WR 1386 (CH 1044 & junior CH 24 both in 2012) by 7-6(6) 3-6 6-3
FINAL: Dave Rice WR 691 v (Q) Alexios Halebian (USA) WR 1386
I think (not sure & can't be bothered to check ...) it was Luke Bambridge who congratulated Dave on Twitter earlier - well, Luke is also the GB authority on beating Halebian (albeit not on this surface), having won two 3-setters against him on US clay earlier this year. Of course, Halebian is young and may be improving fast.
