James retires *1-2 first set. At the changeover presumably.
Scores looked normalish to that point. Strange.
Maybe it was jet lag
More seriously lets hope it is nothing to bad. After winning his first title last week it would be a shame if he was to be out for a few weeks or more.
L16: (3) Joshua Milton WR 371 v (SE) Boris Nicola Bakalov (BUL) WR 1441 (CH 621 in 2011)
Only just noticed this blunder by The Steven.
Josh is actually playing Nick Lindhall (AUS) WR 855
Cheek! Apart from the fact it's Lindahl not Lindhall, a quick check of yesterday's ITF livescores shows that it wasn't me who got it wrong (an easy assumption to make, admittedly), but instead of 6-4 to Bakalov in the 3rd as shown below, it actually finished 7-5 to Lindahl!
The other results look ok.
A few more thoughts - this isn't the first time a problem like this has occurred but they do seem to be pretty rare. The problem is, they tend to occur at the end of very close sets, almost as if an overrule or input error on set point 'closes' the set so it cannot be corrected. Although it's not a frequent problem, it's going to be very annoying if a Brit ever wins a close match that we've been following closely 6-4 in the 3rd only for us to find out later they actually lost 7-5 or something like that!
Also, under normal circumstances I would pick something like this up when I look at the following day's OoP in order to put the details on the top 25 table. I usually check the opponent's name when I do that, but with 5 Brits left here, I just skimmed the OoP and picked up "V playing at 8, W & X at c. 9.30, Y & Z at x. 11" or whatever it was. I'll try to remember to check more carefully in future.

That's a disappointing start in Greece. I thought Mr Gabb might put up more of a fight, Josh Milton i'm suprised has lost and I hope Marzi is not too seriously injured.
Lets hope Mr Goodall and Rice can turn things around.
Took a while but Rice won 6-3, 7-5 against the number one seed.
Really pleased for David. He's one of my new 'pet faves' (lucky him!), having watched his recent doubles matches in the US (thanks to whoever on this forum highlighted the livestream) and mentioning then that he seemd to have a nice, strong, modern game of tennis and it'd be a shame (in my opinion) if he only played doubles.
He must have served very well in this match too, and when it mattered - Martin only converted 1 out of 11 BP
No reason why David Rice cannot beat our Canadian friend and pick up some decent points this week. The last position in Steven's top 25/26 position could get quite interesting. I reckon Richard Gabb may well be the one to suffer(Burn not due to defend points for a while, Bloomers back on British tour this week)
