Well done Mr. Edmund, a good, hard fought match win.

By breaking to love in the final game Kyle just shaded the total points split.

Phew, that was quite a battle!

L32: Kyle Edmund WR 511 beat (WC) Jean-Yves Aubone USA WR 1070 (CH 475 in 2009) by 6-3 3-6 7-5

L16: Kyle Edmund WR 511 v Eric Quigley (USA) WR 542

Quigley reached the SFs in Glasgow earlier this year, beating 3 Brits before going out to Josh Goodall. He has also beaten Boggo this year.

Wonder what happened from a set and a double break up to make Kyle lose 6 games in a row? Very strange. At least he managed to regroup. i'd imagine he would have lost that third set just 6 months ago.

Hopefully just some first round craziness, because he'll need to get back to normal service to get past Quigley.

That should be fun - they've played three times and all of them have gone to three sets. Funnily enough, Kyle has won both of their meetings in the US (at the US Open junior event in 2011 and in the semis of Birmingham (Alabama) Futures which he went on to win last year, while Krueger won their meeting in the UK at Wimbledon juniors last year 10-8 in the 3rd.

Admittedly I'm having a bad morning with lots of problems, but it still took me two readings to get it even after korriban's very clear hint!

Edit - but I did manage to get it before SC's even clearer explanation, which must have been posted while I was typing!

Could require a Jumbo sized effort to get through this one.
