Looks like Oli and partner "lost" their doubles before the match was played. Another one of those doubles walkovers in futures tournaments that seem to be proliferating around the world. Do they actually have to provide a real excuse, can they just make something up, or can they pull out without giving any reason at all? (not Oli and partner specifically, talking about any pair that pulls out before a match generally)

Oli lost the first set 3-6 but on serve in the second at *3-3

A fairly encouraging scoreline. Unfortunately the defeat means that Oli's ranking will take another pounding on Monday week.

At least Oli is being competitve now against much higher opposition.

I think Oli should have the confidence now to start being more consistent at this level and lets hope he has a decent draw next week to continue picking up points.
