Today's win will take Jade up over 30 places to a new career high in the 410s.
Yesterday's win may give Samantha a new career high, but she needs another win to make sure, and another win should take her into the top 250 too. I make it that Sam has leapfrogged Lisa again already but checking against TBE's list on tennisforum, he has her on a lower number of points after the 12 from yesterday are added. I think my figure of 214 points is correct (based on my best 16 table and the figures on the pdf version of the current rankings), but he may have noticed something I've missed.
I'd guess not though - not surprisingly given the sheer number of players his table covers, he tends to be a few points out from time to time, particularly for those lower down the scale. It remains, though, a great resource in situations like this - if our figures agree, they are virtually always correct and where they differ, at least it makes me double check!

Yes, Steven, I'd noticed TBE's ranking info regarding Sam and like you couldn't work it out. As you suggest though, it is inevitable he will be out with some at times.
Emily did try to come out for today's doubles after her singles withdrawal yesterday, but didn't last long. R1: Emily WEBLEY-SMITH/Kim-Alice GRAJDEK (GBR/GER) lost to Lynn KIRO/Nathalia ROSSI (BRA) 3-6 RET
