Kubbler looked classy in Edinburgh but pulled out of semi final. he disposed of coric but both of these players are on the up. Dan Evans has the class to win this tournament though.

It will be Evans first match on clay for two years so I am not really sure what to expect from him.

I am routinely not sure what to expect from Evo, especially in a futures. Hopefully though he has a new focus.

Not yet- Phil, but should be able to tell first thing in the morning.

Good opening draw for Dan Evans.

Hewitt is playing well enough to take out Neil P again.

Tough draw for Johnny O'Mara

Not sure which Marcus Willis will turn up

The big match is obviously Fitzy's - his opponent has been playing challengers on clay and doing ok, so this will be tough.

At Bournemouth and Edinburgh ITF love scores covered all courts and it looks like they plan to do the same here smile

James is a Grand Slam champion, having won the US Open juniors with Lee Childs back in 2000. He's a local lad, so guess he is coaching in the area now.

James Nelson is a hero in these parts and a great bloke, I'm pretty sure he's one of the club pros.

Alex Ward: "@GBtennis noticed the amount of gb 1990s in the draw? #statto"

I resisted the considerable temptation (given that 1990 was rumoured a few years back to be our original 'golden generation') to ask why the 7 of them were still playing Futures winkcry but his question made me check, and the distribution of Brits in the main draw is quite interesting.

'Old man' wink Fitzy turns out to be the only Brit in the main draw born before 1990, though two non-Brits in the draw are older, Rosenzweig and van der Duim. The other Brits include:

7 x 1990s
1 x 1991
2 x 1992s
3 x 1993s
2 x 1994s
5 x 1995s

... and the youngest Brit in the main draw is Isaac, born in 1996, the same year as Coric, who (a few months younger) is the youngest player in the draw.
