RE: Week 19 - Great Britain F11 ($10,000) - Newcastle (Clay)

Yes, Steven, I had been thinking what a great day for the GB top 25ers.

With Kyles's win and Laura's so close loss, the day ends :

10 / 10 for GB top 25 men !

3 / 4 for GB top 25 women.

Pity the one loss is surely the one most of us wanted to see won.

Anyway, now let's be seeing all these wins really be converted into profitable weeks, i.e. for the futures guys SFs and beyond and good points !

Second comfortable win of the week for Evo, 2 and 1. Hewitt should provide a far sterner test in the QFs.

O'Mara a break up in the second *3-2

Evo is in very impressive form this week, he really has the bit between his teeth this week, its been a pleasure watching his matches.

Famous last words when it comes to Dan!

Well yes, chances are that Dan will have a good week or two and then fall back into his bad old ways. However as Phil says, when playing well he is a pleasure to watch, so I make no apology for believing that he can still have a bloody good career.

I'll certainly second that, Indy!

Not surprising at all. Were I am gambling man my money would have been on Ashley today.

Before this week Evo had played one match on clay in three years and Ashley is currently in very good form. Evo has also struggled on serve all year, even on quick indoor hard courts, so he was always likely to struggle big time against an inform player on outdoor clay.

So would I normally but ITF live scores has full stats to back up Neil & Matt winning 1 & 4. Very, very odd.

Edit: bet365 are paying out on Neil & Matt at 1.30 too. (in theory anyway, I didn't actually bet on it, obviously)

3 Semi's in a row for Hewitt though, great consistency for a player who had seldom consistency beforehand, hopefully he builds on this.
